This course walks the professional through the obligations and responsibilities of serving on a compensation committee. It provides the knowledge you require to successfully plan and evaluate competitive pay packages that will motivate and retain executive employees. It is crucial for compensation committee members to understand the fundamentals of executive pay design. You do not want to be in a position where you are at the mercy of a compensation consultant who has the information you need, but also has a point of view that will bias the information and advice. If you understand and can analyze the situation from your own knowledge and independent research, you will be much more effective.
